The Nintendo Wii's release date is Nov. 19th for $250 if you haven't heard. :p

I can't wait.

The Wii looks very cool. I have dismissed the last few generations of Nintendo boxes because they were really kiddie boxes that did not stack up. The Wii will not be as cutting edge as the 360 or the PS3, but the controller is very cool, the price point is awesome, and they are going to get huge development support.

I'm excited for it.

For $250 I wish it came with two controllers though. since they hyped up the multiplayer so much. But at least it comes with a game. The selection of launch titles is excellent!

and you can grab a xbox 360 and a wii for almost the same price as the PS3.

As well the screenshots of the first PS3 games (F.E.A.R for one) look terrible. AND they decided NOT to deliver it with an HDTV cable, which in itself is kinda expensive.

All in all, it seems like the era Sony Playstation is over.

Every single news story about sony I have read this year has been bad. Sony's electronics division hasn't turned a profit in like 5 years. Their shareholders should demand drug testing for all of the executives at Sony because something fucked up is going on over there.

I dont think you could be more wrong about the Playstation Era being over.

Ill be picking up the Wii for sure, and am looking forward to the PS3.

I am getting pretty worked up over the whole PS3 thing also, but would rather wait and get a flawless system then end up with the equiv. of an X-Box360!

You read me wrong. I am really, really excited about the playstation consoles so far. However, every singly thing I read about the PS3 this far just spells disaster.

I would not believe most of it. I think its going to smoke the comp..

IMO, I think the PS2 smokes the 360, so they wont have to do much with the PS3 to out do Microsoft's new system.

The only thing that looks like disaster to me is the expected price tag!

No. The PS2 is like a fucking Commodore 64 compared the 360. What are you smoking. ;) For one, I can't play PS2 with my HDTV, but the 360 natively supports it. Two, Xbox live is internet gaming perfection. Three, the games are better (debatable). Four, it's technically superior.

XBOX 1 was better than the PS2, and 360 is 360 times better than XBOX 1.

I have a 360 so I'm probably biased, and I've never liked any Sony gaming products - especially the controllers.

Nintendo is back on the right path and will probably end up #1 again. Sony is going to tank ! Few are going to buy an overpriced, underpowered heap of shit. I foresee a blunder like what we saw with the PSP.

We shall see though. I'm going to buy the Wii, and I have the 360. I won't go near the PS3, and I don't know many that will.

I guess its a matter of opinion, I bought the 360 and could not stand it, in fact I turned around and sold it for 70% of what I bought it for.

Ill use two games for example, Perfect Dark (which was the only game I liked for the 360) and put that up against a game like RE4 for ps2, RE looks just as good as Perfect Dark.... and that game is old as shit!

I do agree with you partially on the Wii, Nintendo is back on the right path. I have and still play the GameCube which is in a class of its own.

I will no doubt buy a Wii. For one game: MARIO! When it comes out, that is. Other then that, I don't care about all of the new and improved, hyped-up games that much. I just want a cool little game to play when I get tried reading about affiliate marketing.

That's where I think Sony is going wrong in all of this. They keep trying to hook us with all this crazy hardware capability like 60gig HD, Blue Ray, and other stuff all at a $600 price point. But they seem to forget about why most people want the damn thing in the first place! The games!

The way I see it Microsoft and Nintendo have the right idea. Microsoft's Xbox Live is really taking online gaming to the next level. And independent developers are now getting their paws on the live network, so we can expect a lot of new and innovative games online.

Nintendo has a very strong launch lineup, and the new controller speaks for itself.

I expect previous sony playstation owners to buy a ps3 for sure despite the criticism. You can never beat a huge fan base no matter what the price.

Really? I think it's the best controller out there... I'm glad they are not changing it aesthetically.
