Observation about Page Authority

Not sure if people pay much attention to the page authority on their pages. Ive noticed that a new page with no back linking but with really decent content will update with a pretty decent page authority. I have some pages that have some age to them now, but not very good quality content still have a fairly low PA. A new page with great content will update with a much higher PA on the same domain.

Anyone have any observations on this?

I found DA much more accurate parameter than PR. And CF is even better.

good content + quality backlinks for that page = good PA

I dont use PR or DA. I use AIFDA and TRTHI since 2010. Much more accurate.

It's got nothing to do with the content. If it has zero backlinks then it's the domain-wide metrics that are influencing the PA.

TACPTFA has not been very reliable since the end of 2008, but the new metric Randolf Fishker introducted (not to be confused with Rank Fishkin of SE0Moz aka Dogsnuggie empire team) is pretty nice when it comes to ranking .info domains...

AIFDA is another hidden gem. Look it up. Most big brands nowadays are using it to rank their PPC.
