I was going through some of my web 2.0 props and I found some old work that had been done, not sure when, or which BST but essentially web2.0 stuff with my kw/brand where the BST provider gives you the login in case you ever need to change it (i never keep the reports and i really should) and I click on that shit and it's been hijacked and has someone elses links on it.

Would any self-respecting BST provider go back months or years later and hijack his own work for clients and put up new links to his own shit or someone elses? Am I paranoid? Anyone else heard of or seen this?

Anyway, from now on when I buy shit and I get the logins, I'm going to go in and change all the emails and passwords. I'm a moron for not doing that I suppose.

It's pretty rare, but it has happened and does occur. Sometimes it is a mistake on the providers part, and they accidentally clicked on the wrong campaign and overwrote someone's links. Other times it's intentional and unscrupulous providers actually do intentionally change someones links up...

Sounds very rare and the high fee paying sellers here would be less likely to do it. It would definitely happen with some shitty provider from DP.

When I've got web 2.0 done by a 3rd party, the first thing I do is change all the passwords. If your aged properties had PR or decent PA, that's enough reason for the seller to borrow your web 2.0's from you.

Lesson learned. Change all the passwords, AND change the registration E-Mail to my email so the password can't be reset by someone else.
