Back in August, Fred Reed wrote a piece in which he describes life in America when he was growing up. Here it is...
Freedom and Illusion by Fred Reed
The period he describes - a time when people had the freedom to do whatever they desired - seems far away. But it's worth remembering as folks vote the next generation of charlatans into office.
On a side note, Reed is always worth reading. He writes about the asses who "lead" soldiers into bloodbaths; he writes about the narcissistic nutjobs who wish to "lead" this country; and he covers cover-ups. Lots of cover-ups.
Take a few minutes to read his piece on American life. It'll make you wonder how we lost so much freedom in so short a time.
