So..........

Indian guy tells me he wants to buy a project from me for a discounted price.... as usual, spider senses were tingling.... b/c people from Indian (in my experience) do not buy anything via paypal.

Well, i tell dude, It will take around 2 hours to take care of business. I wanted to verify the money.....etc.........

I transferred money away......did some due dilligence and was preparing to send rest of site but it cost me time and money to set up the deal!

So, guy comes back 1 hour later... claiming it had been 2 hours... and considering we talk on skype, the time stamps clearly showed it had not been 2 hours or near.

So then guy rants and says now or never, as if trying to force an immediate send off and no security on my end.. so i told him go f himself, feeling he was a con at this point.

The money I had gotten was already transferred to other people involved and i was completing my end of the bargain.. then he just put in a claim on my account BUT NO MONEY WAS THERE

I still had the project and his money but I've been scammed out of thousands by East Indians before and honestly I was fed up so I stood my ground and made it clear to paypal this was digital good, a deal that had no physical proof but I had already vested time/money on my end to initiate plans and he tried to re-nig and seemed like a scam

they denied his claim...then he got the money back from his credit card company... Paypal fought to get it back but the card company decided in his favor ( i can imagine.. the card... "MasterScamCard" or some crap )

Well now my paypal is a -$800+ .........it's not in a real name............ and i'm thinking, should I even care?

Paypal scammed me of thousands in the past... escaping their insuring claims that are promoted by some backdoor line in TOA

East Indians have scammed me from oDesk and other sites, and attempted even more........

Should i just walk away with $$$ and say f'em all? :rasta:

Shit happens on the internet.

Several months ago I sent money to IcetoEskimos. Never received the product I ordered.
That kind of stuff happens. You learn there are people that screw others over, like IcetoEskimos repeatedly not delivering.
Personally, I feel IcetoEskimos is kind of sad. I've spent a few dollars with different providers which all provide the services offered. In my experience, IcetoEskimos takes your money and provides nothing in return.

If the bitch want's to complain, I have the receipts.

So I'm saying a mod screwed me, where's the ban?
I have receipts, but no delivery.

It's pretty bold for someone without a lot of posts to bitch about a mod screwing them over, where is I2E countering? Ain't going to happen because he did not deliver.

Where is anyone else making things right? Ah, you're on your own.
It's not really that significant to me, it was only like a hundred or so, but a good education that people will screw you over even if they appear to be affiliated and established with this site. Yeah, ban my ass for telling the truth.
Doesn't solve the underlying problem though.

Did you make a thread about it? No offense, but coming in to an unrelated thread to post your complaints seems like a bitch move. Make a separate thread and call his ass out. It doesn't matter if he's a mod, if he legit fucked you over you will not be banned and he will have to deal with it one way or the other.
 
You tell this Indian that his tribe isn't going to put up with this kind of stuff. He'll likely be banned from the tee-pee and not allowed into the casinos if the elders find out. And next time just make sure he pays you in wampum to protect yourself.
 
My Paypal had about $10k in transactions this last year before this loser actually. Otherwise I'm pretty sure paypal would have froze the payment, as $800+ would have stuck out.

I do not condone scamming but i figure... why should I feel responsible for something like this?

A) I'd lose money from trying to do a rush job

B) Last year, Paypal allowed someone to scam me for over $500, when I had a contract showing the guy owed me a physical product & I marked my transaction physical product.. but the guy told them 'it was a service' & they slithered out of responsibility for getting my money back

I feel like this is karma to some extent. Finally in a high seat though.

If you have to argue yourself into why it's okay... it's not.

However, I have no problem with the fact that we never paid the dealership back for when we damaged the loaner. They shut down and there was no one to send a payment to. If they had kept better paperwork, the buyer might have pursued us, but hey, free 1200 is nice (especially since we weren't the ones that damaged the car).

On the other hand, it's India, who cares?
