How do you find cost-effective qualified help?

What are reasonable prices to pay for unique, quality articles? (say 500 words)

I got a referral to someone ... paid $100 for twenty 500 word articles. The English was bad and the content was real weak ... basically only good for splogs to pick up and get some links out of. Serves a purpose but what if I want real writing?

smap, you'll find several content producers in the BST (Buy, Sell, Trade) sub-forum. You can find quality writers by checking out what some of their clients say about them. However, the only way you'll truly know whether someone can produce high-quality material for you is by testing them with a small project.

Regarding the price you can expect to pay, it varies. A 500-word article can cost from $3 to over $25. The cost can be dependent upon experience, demand, existing client base and many other factors.

I know that sounds vague. But, it's the best way I know to explain it.

Hope that helps.
