Wtf, I'm feelin like a complete retard this morning. I download the latest version of p202 (v 1.2) to install on a new server AND it seems like I can't even extract it correctly. The archive contains .DS_Store files, leads me to believe it was compiled on a mac.

Anyone know a solution? Please tell me it's not just me, those brain cells I obliterated in Vegas would be handy right about now.

Got it figured out. Nothing new, vista is just a complete piece of shit and has compatibility issues with zip files compiled on a mac. Fuck, back to xp pro I go - gotta get my hands on a 64-bit copy.

As an FYI, WinRar solved the issue for now (ty Sohan.)

It wasn't compiled at all.

If your server is running Linux, type "unzip prosper.zip" if it's a zip file.
If it's a tarball type "tar -zxvvf prosper.tar.gz"
If it's a rar type "unrar x prosper.rar" (or unrar-free or just 'rar' if you have it)

Maybe your download is just corrupt? It happens..

I haven't tried it but I heard good things about Windows 7. And it looks like OS X... I might try it myself actually.

same issues w/ vista for me. Unlike XP, you cannot just open the zip file do a ctrl-A, Ctrl-C then CTrl-V where you want to paste. You have to use the little extract button otherwise you get this issue described above.

For you winrar fans - check out IZ Arc:

IZArc - Download

Its FREE and works with every format I throw at it. I mean EVERY format including ISO. No more burning a CD just to yank a quick file off. Runs from Windows contextual menus too.
