I'm really surprised that Adsense still tolerates parked domains. There is literally no content of value on a parked website. And, one of the main stipulations for an Adsense publisher is having good site content. Google once again contradicts itself for the sake of making money.

I use voodoo.com. There's very little money in parking these days, and generally you'll be lucky to get enough revenue for the year to cover your registration.

In my opinion it's better to throw up a shitty 2-3 page site until you're ready to sell or develop it in to something really profitable.

It was always like this. But not any longer. If you have a shitty 2-3 page site online, G can quickly ban it for a thin content or whatever.

Having banned and deindexed site is much worse than having a dormant or parked domain that doesn't bring you revenue.

I should have added a disclaimer. When I say shitty, I mean 2-3 pages with your initial content, an about page, and maybe another page with an article. No spun content, and certainly no link building.

In February I registered a fresh domain in a health niche after reading about it in the NEJM. The first four months I parked it, I made less than $3 total with an average of 7 type ins per day.

I said fuck it and threw up a very small site, and forgot about it. I just wanted to get some age on the domain so when I do go ahead with the site I won't have to fuck with the sandbox. Also, when I wrote the original content, I threw in an Amazon link.

In the five months since I've had the site up I average $11 per month off of 3 visitors per day. All of those affiliate sales are from a third party's product on Amazon too, so I don't even have the benefit of Prime to help me out.

Somehow my DA is 9 without any visible back links too.
