iam currently setting up my prosper hosting. Iam currently looking at these two vps hostings as they seem to fit the best for a vps prosper setup:

- VPS1024 + Litespeed Web Server Add on @ wiredtree.com
- VPS1024CAM Prosper Optimized @ beyondhosting.net/Virtual-Private-Servers/Prosper202-VPS-Hosting/ (Apache Web Server)

Which setup would you choose and do you also have other tips to make the setup faster? I already found these tips to get the best out of a prosper setup:

vps with 100mbit speed
lightpeed webserver
php 5.3.3
mysql 5.1
memcache enabled

Do you guys have other tips?

I usually change the nr of max connections in apache. This means my server wont hang when too many people connect simultaneously.

Also , this hack from adhustler should speed stats up :

ALTER TABLE `202_clicks_spy` ENGINE = MYISAM
ALTER TABLE `202_last_ips` ENGINE = MYISAM

Another trick that I've seen some do , is use directly an ip instead of a domain , to cut domain lookup times

okay probably a noob question but can someone clarify how to change the nr of max connections in apache? and how are you doing it on lightspeed?

Why is Beyond Hosting better for 202?

And if I'm using Storm Cloud for my hosting, how can I make it work better with 202?

ask hostgator.com to make special sales page for prosper202 users, and see the next day everyone moving to hostgator

i used to have a VPS on wiredtree and it was kind slow.. it depends on your traffic though. i have now an hybrid server @ wiredtree and it works pretty good.. i'm also thinking about upgrading to a SSD drive to speed the stats up
