More copper shenanigans. The story in a nutshell:
Robert Cameron Redus, 23,...
... was allegedly driving too fast on a Christian college campus. Christopher Carter, an on-site police officer, pulled him over. Carter reported that Redus resisted. In response, he withdrew his baton to control him.
Redus allegedly took Carter's baton and began to beat the officer. Carter withdrew his firearm and shot Redus dead.
Fortunately, patrol cars are outfitted with dash cams to record the interaction that occurs between officers and suspects. So there is a way to validate that Carter's story is accurate and his actions - particularly those that resulted in Redus's death - were warranted.
Right?
Sadly, no.

University police vehicles are typically equipped with dashboard cameras, but Carter's vehicle joined the fleet two days before the incident, and its camera fell off the next day when a temperature change prevented the glue from setting, the school said.
"Officers had made arrangements to have it remounted," the statement said.
