Dumb question maybe? But in the sidebar in photoshop, how do I get the zoom toolbar at the right hand side, it has a slider and you can easily drag around where you want to focus on the document.

a) how to get the zoom toolbar from the right hand side to another place,
b) how to get the zoom toolbar into the right hand side from another place,
c) how to make the slider work because it is frustrating that it is not working,
d) how to make the slider stop working because it is frustrating that it is constantly in the way,

Anyway, I think you mean the Navigator: Window > Navigator.

Keyboard shortcuts in Photoshop have always been faster and easier for me. There's a ton of them too and you can create your own. Ctrl+ = Zoom in

Yeah man just use Ctr + and Ctr - to zoom in and out of the document and then hold down the space bar and click and drag to move around to where you need to be.

or just push z for the zoom tool and use right click on the mouse to move in and out
