Which one would be better for making a handful of auction sites? Has anybody had experience with both? Is there anything cripplingly wrong with either?

you better wait...ebay ditch CJ..April 1st, ebay will have their own affiliate program. There might be some change in PHPBay and BANS

Yeah, I saw that. I read somewhere that BANS is going to adjust their code to compensate, but I haven't heard anything about PHPBay.

I was wondering the same about ezAWB, and if anyone has any good or bad results with any of the products listed in this thread.

Much of what can be done with PHPBay and BANS can be done for free ... especially if you're considering it for just a few sites, vs. rapid deployment, you might check out using WordPress and some useful plugins like FeedWordPress to set the store up. DoshDosh.com had a great and very detailed post on the process a few months ago.

The real strength and value of BANS, PHPBay and similar applications is the rapid deployment that they offer. If you don't plan on volume, it's probably better to save your money.

i use phpbay pro and i really like it a lot. it is really easy to use and you can buy one license and use it on all your sites.

Here is one of mine: Fender Blues Junior amps - The unofficial site of Blues Jr. amplifiers. Makes about $200 a month all on organic traffic. Not much. But it is not a huge niche, and it only took a few days to set up...

I've been meaning to set up more sites with it but all my free time is going to PPc now as i'm making much more with it...

BANS is good I'd recommend it and you can sign up with your own affiliate link at clickbank for half price :D

They're also adjusting the code for the new ebay aff program and came out with a new version

PHPbay rocks.

GTech of DP forum is the man behind this script, and will fix it the day Ebay makes the crossover. Very professional.

easynichestore's best feature is the joomla integration, go get yourself a joomlart template and modulate the ebay feeds, wham u have a great looking aff site... install some seo plugins to take it a step further + you have room to build a community... community builder integration etc. BAM.

I use PHPBay Pro on a few sites and I think it is very easy to use and set-up. The only one thing I wish that PHPBay allowed for different settings for different wordpress posts/pages. The settings I am interesed in tweaking are the selections for the sorting of the ads {i.e. ending soon/highest priced}. Currently the setting is set for site wide and not individual pages/posts.

I hope my PHPBay license is still good when he releases the update.

Hey Gang...first post! (Anyone going to ring a bell or something?)

I bought phpBay Pro last night after I PMd the author on another site and he told me I'd have the new version next week when they announce the changeover. Evidently, the code was released to them last week so they could get started on integration.

Great stuff if you ask me...WordPress+phpBayPro = a nice package my wife could set up in an hour.

i've tried both. phpbay wins hands down. BANS was so clunky and troublesome to set up. phpbay + all the existing wordpress templates and plugins rocks

not sure why my prev post got deletd. guess i didn't provide any useful info other than saying phpbay is better.

here's some extra info so I can hopefully get post #1 out the way.

phpbay pro works with wordpress mu - this means i install wordpress + phpbay ONCE and I create an unlimited number of ebay affiliate sites. That's something you can not do with BANS
