As far as results - it's been two days, and my site has jumped from the fourth spot - where I'm been stuck for 2 months - at incredibly competitive vertical to the 2nd spot. So what is the actual PR of the new page made for the edu.? Are there sitewide links to the new page, or is it an orphan?

For the news publication, does the article go on a page that has been established time wise and PR wise? If so, what is the PR of the page and does this page have links to it from the site itself?

To answer some of your questions:

With ANY new page you create on any site, the ACTUAL pr will be n/a. With time, it typically builds a PR of 1 or 2.

I can guarantee the page being up at least 1 year. They will be there longer, often times 2 or more, but since I don't own the site, I can't say it will be there forever...(this is a question I've been getting).

Q:
Are there sitewide links to the new page, or is it an orphan?

This is NOT a sitewide link (i.e. a page will not be linked from the homepage such as nyu[dot]edu. These will be from faculty and department sites to provide resources.

No, this is a new page I create and will have a pr of N/A to begin with. Again, overtime, these pages can get PR. These are permanent pages that are created. There are links to the page from my column and where all my articles are housed. The top page of where my articles reside is a PR3.

Hope this helps clarify things.

*UPDATE: Current turnaround time (TAT) is approx 10 days. For most orders, I'm turning these around well before that, but just to keep expectations realistic.
