Placing affiliate adverts on Joomla site

I want to place some affiliate adverts on my Joomla site, perhaps in the right column. They will consist of a graphic, some text and links.

What is the best way to do this? Use some plugin? A banner? What do you do?

You can also just do it manually by adding a "New Module" (html module) and placing the module in the space you want it.

I like to use the built in banner menu and just paste the click url in and upload the banners to the images/banners directory. Choose the banner from the dropdown for each one. They will rotate automatically and count clicks. You have to make up a client and catergories first.

Yeah the built-in banner menu will work fine.

either do built in banner or under module manager -> create new module -> custom html, and set the position to right
