Planting drugs on Adam Kokesh

The guy was grabbing at his mic pack. He is a NJ Senate candidate:

Don DeZarn for NJ State Senate

People are freaking out over it, like 'OMGWTF they singled him out they are scared of the DC march'. The dude stood up on stage and said 'fuck the law smoke it anyway,' and a bunch of people started smoking weed in front of the cops. He has been doing it on a monthly basis, what do they expect would happen?

NO JRYAN IT IS A CONSPIRACY BY THE COMMUNIST OBAMA TO PUT ALL AMERICANS IN DEATH CAMPS!

You sure? This is press/exposure, exactly what he wants. I like him though, he has balls to challenge these bs laws in such a manner.

an attention whore willing to overtly break a law to make a point. in that regard, it's not much different than the tsarnaev brothers. or PETA.

What law did he break? Look at the video. He wasn't smoking, nor resisting arrest.

And lord forbid people overtly break laws, especially laws that pertain to the ingestion of a certain piece of vegetation.

We should all be so submissive to authority!

That he is an idiot? Yep.

The only people who care about this are libertarians on the internet.

Too bad that balls aren't a good substitute for brains.

And how do your "brains" help me or anyone else here?

That's right they don't. You're just some dude with a keyboard.

At least this guy is doing something. He's not hurting us and may potentially help us through a domino and/or snowball effect.

Everyone is doing "something". It's called human action.

He's not hurting us
There is no "us".

And there is going to be no snowball effect because no one, except a bunch of internet libertarians, thinks this matters at all.

I will try to say this one more time, for everyone who is a little slow to get it.

The state is a delusion. It exists in our minds. The state has the "power" and "authority" it has because people believe in it.

The problem is getting people to recognize that what they believe isn't actually a real thing. And that, is a lot harder to do than giving speeches and getting arrested.

With your own intellect, you create your own destiny instead of waiting in vain in the infinitely small chance that someone like ron paul will magically part the waters to the promised land.

The support for legalizing marijuana certainly extends beyond internet libertarians. My own father who's a self proclaimed republican agrees that it's ridiculous to make illegal marijuana while alcohol is legalized.

I agree, the ultimate solution is showing people the illegitimacy of the state, but my own path to discovering the above idea was not straight forward from republican -> voluntaryist. A small stepping stone such as demonstrating how ridiculous it is to be forcibly restrained and imprisoned for speaking out against marijuana laws can have the potential to lead to more questioning and understanding; and coming to the realization that consenting to this system of government and rule is the ultimate problem.

I agree that it will likely not change anything on it's own. Just as Ron Paul. But I believe they are fighting the good fight. I don't have it in me. But I have enough in me to root for them.

Plus, the state is a delusion, but so is the individual. You and I don't exist as separate entities. We are just energy that is part of the energy of the planet that is part of the energy of the solar system that is part of the universe. We are nothing but the single entity of the universe experiencing itself subjectively. Our individuality is an illusion. Time and space is an illusion. It doesn't mean that the delusion isn't real to us while we experience it.

And it's certainly not dependent on the actions of Adam Kokesh.

It's not that it isn't legit, it's a delusion. It's an important distinction imo.

If humans were this good, drugs would already be decriminalized.

I salute you fellow internet keyboard warrior.

I don't smoke that. Nor do I smoke anything other than cigars now adays.

You are the dust of an exploding star. You are no more separate from the environment that you are in (the universe) than a rock is. Just because you perceive otherwise means nothing in the end. You and I will go back to the dust from which we came from; certainly you can agree that then and before we were not separate, so why think any different now while we are alive?

Delimitation of 'rock' 'dust' 'human' 'ant' are human made words to make sense of all the energy around us. But they are no more real than our concepts of good, evil, just, beginning and end. Our cognitive skills are infinitely limited, so we have to put things into boxes to understand them.

Still, we must deal with the reality we have. So we need to deal with these boxes as if they are real. Just as you need to deal with the gov as if it is real. Ignoring it when they send you a letter can result in grave implications.
