The site is an image hosting site (ImgLab.com)
I've had around 404UV this week alone, and 0 clicks. I have ads on the top, next to the upload image section, and on the bottom. Ads also appear in the gallery above and below images...

Why is my CTR so low? What can I do to improve it?

This is the first site I try to monetize, so keep that in mind :xmas-smiley-016:

imho, image hosting sites dont get high CTRs, just concentrate on building up the traffic and eventually clicks will come

Have you checked your traffic logs for where they UVs are coming from? Some traffic sources may be more of a internet savvy demographic and may be less apt to cliick on content network ads.

You may want tweak the color of the ads so that they stand out less (I know a little counterintuitive, but they may think it's more a part of the site that way and be more likely to click on them accidently ;)).

Another comment about the color theme of the site: make your text coloring more uniform and complementary to the header color.

Most of my UVs are coming from the 3-4 forums that I've been posting at.

I'll definitely follow your color theme advice...

Content, content, content. When I plugged into google, "Image Hosting sites" imageshack.us came up as the top ranking website on this subject. They are currently ranking 57 on the Alexa.com web information database (which you might already know). You may want to though have a good look at your competition. See what kind of content they are using to reel in the traffic.

This has nothing to do with your CTR, but that input box is an input box for a reason -- some people type in it (or copy and paste, same shit). You should remove the browser that opens up automatically when you click on the text field and let people use the Browse button. Trying to stray too far from conventions like that will just confuse people and likely keep them from coming back.
