pop ups vs. interstitial

Just a short question: Does anybody have any experience he/she might want to share here about pop ups vs. interstitial ads on PPV?

My $200 in MT are declining quickly without seeing any success and even though I'm tracking and built a LP, I don't seem to be able to get anything to work. (yeah I know, I should have more than one LP but I know myself too well for overprocrastinating on things so I thought of better jumping in this time with just 1 LP, rather than wasting days again building 10 or so).

I thought of trying out DCPV's interstitial ones, as it's sometimes really hard to fit anything in MT's 750x550 window and I guess people that are using their adware for a while already know about them popups and just keep clicking them away. On the other hand, with interstitials, you can present them way more, at full size. But then again, the "skip this ad" crap at the top might make them click away even faster (nobody wants to be sold, especially not if the ad declares itself to be an ad).

But then again, most of the above things are only assumptions.

Which is why I'd appreciate your input and/or experience :)

I think DirectCPV's ads are actually superior. They fill up the whole browser window and the Skip button is fairly small. For a sample of what it looks like click below and put your URL into the test field (NOT a dickroll, this is from Brett at DirectCPV):

EDIT: Looks like they have recently moved the Skip button to the bottom right corner. It's practically invisible.

That actually bothers me less than the relative lack of traffic. It's hard to get displays on anything other than huge domains like facebook.com. Push LoudMo people, get more installs going!

Thanks a lot for that example Josh! At first, I thought as well it's awesome that they have that stuff at the bottom of the page, but testing a few different domains it seems it randomly shifts (or not, don't know what makes it show up at the top or the bottom).

for example put in the URL "test.com" (will have skip button at the bottom), then use "google.com" (will have it at the top). But still, it's way less obvious than some other interstitial ads (those that have a big kind of block at the top with a huge blinking button saying "skip this ad"...lol)

EDIT: now it shows up at the bottom for "google.com" as well for me. So it seems to change randomly.

No way that's the actual interstitial being served... Hard to believe, that's all.

It rotates from top to bottom, this was done a while back. I saw the comments from the forums about the big yellow button and opened my big mouth. It made sense and it was changed..

Now, if we could just get directcpv not to bid up placements, they might be worth something!

Working on it! The more bugs/issues people make the team aware (without hate postings) the more we can track bugs and fix in later revisions. I have requested some major chances made to the preview bidding tool.

Believe it...
