So at this past week's PPC Classroom Amit Mehta and Anik Singal urged all of the attendees to donate the $97 deposit to Anik's new charity. Anik even went so far as to ask everyone to stand up and then told anyone who WASN'T going to donate to sit down...all of this right after a day + of presentations on how awesome the "super affiliate lifestyle" is an how much money Amit and several other guys make.

This charity is supposed to help the poor children of India by creating a 7th and 8th grade boarding school for under privileged kids with access to the Internet and furthering their education - especially online.

Does this not sound like one of the best outsourcing opportunities for these guys? Throw a bunch of money (especially other people's) to a struggling nation, famous for it's outsourcing, positioning yourself as someone who they should always look-up to and are in debt to? This can essentially lock in permanent cheap outsourced labor forever..how many of those kids would turn down a job working with these guys who "saved them" upon 8th grade graduation doing outsourced stuff online for them...

Damn these guys are good.

That's kinda slimy. Of course I have seen businesses do this before in person. They get all hyped up about some charity and think anyone that doesnt do it is a puppy killer.

Plus it reeks of favoritism to one country. One they might be partial to.

Dodgy.

Well, I strongly doubt they are setting up some kind of offshore, workhouse for outsourcing.

But the sit down, and victimize non-donators sounds annoying.
