ok here are my stats for to sept. 1 - Oct 30

Click 1,241

Imp 58,131

CTR 2.13%

Avg. CPC $0.31 usd

Total Cost $381.30

Total Sales= $635.76

Profit = $254.46

Basically I am bidding on "product terms" and sending people to a review page where I review like 3 products and I tell them the one they are searching for is the best. These are clickbank products. I know yall hate clickbank here but I'm a newb and haven't used any other networks before.

How can I start to scale this campaign. I have not split tested my lp or ad at all. (guess I should get on that)

Here's the way my ad looks

"product name" Exposed
Don't Buy product name
Honest Review Exposes the truth!
mysite.com

How can I scale this campaign to start making some serious cash? I'm not looking for a silver platter here.

Background

I recently went through all the c*omm*sion Bl*uep*int videos thanks to the free ebook section here. hxxp://www.c0mmissionbl*uepr*int.c0m/comblu/access/access_675 4351.htm

Basically the strategy is find a product with a $30 payout or higher with a grav. over 100 use a few tools like market samuria to get a some keywords.

Bid on some very general keywords to see if you have a "winner" then tweak and split test till it becomes profitable.

It goes into detail about how to manage campaigns and shit but to me this seems like a great way to lose a ton of money really quickly, and being 19 I dont have a shitload of money to throw around. Like a $1000 dollar limit on my cc and half that is going to attorney fees right now for weed :(

Anyway Comblu says you need 500clicks to see if acampaign will be profitable. Then they give you a few spreadsheets to plug you data into to see if the campaign will be profitable. You're supposed to bid on keywords that will give you 500 clicks a day.

To me that screams "FLUSH YOUR MONEY DOWN THE TOILET AND SEE IF IT"S PROFITABLE" not too mention no one on their forum seems to make any money at all. (profit)

One problem is that right now my product is converting at 1.9% and that is sending people to a review page that are actively searching for either the product name or a review of some kind. (people that actually click on my aff link its like 1 in 10 buy)

Anyway anything yall would like ad would be great.

And any good ppc blogs or post here would be awesome. And I already read this post HOWTO: Create Ultra-Targeted Ads and get Highly Converting Campaigns and it was awesome .

No

I got arrested for weed

And half my credit card balance is going to attorney fees.

For starters I would have to say, unless your product is total crap, your conversion rate is pretty low. Though it does look like you've found a nice cheap keyword. Use that to your advantage and see if you can up your conversion rate before you start expanding the campaign.

Are you aware of your bounce rate? Use clicktale.com (free) and figure out where people are clicking and how many are actually going through to the offer.

Start changing small things around on your LP and try to 1) increase your LP CTR and 2) conversion rate.

Once you've reached a satisfactory level with your conversion rate (that doesn't mean you should stop tweaking) you can start going after some more expensive keywords or perhaps start bidding more to increase your ad position.

Judging by your CTR you are probably somewhere near the bottom of the page (that's just a guess of course but I bet I'm pretty close). If you can double or triple your conversion rate you may be able to dominate your keyword and get a lot more clicks.

After that just start going after some broader terms and make sure you are tracking your keywords. Not what I use but prosper202 seems to be popular and it's free.

Thanks Mortal.

I have no idea about my bounce rate thanks for the clicktale link

*Edit* HOLY SHIT!!!
I just installed the script from clicktale and that shit is fucking bomb!!

Holy fuck Thank you so much for that wow.*/Edit*

Anyway

I have over 400 keywords for this campaign they are all like

"ebook called product name"

"Reviews on product name"

"Product name scam"

etc...

Judging by your CTR you are probably somewhere near the bottom of the page (that's just a guess of course but I bet I'm pretty close).
Damn, right on the money i'm at around 7.2

Should I increase bids or work on ctr first.

Generally I'm guessing the higher up you are the better ctr you have which results in a lower cpc?

So in that case should I just increase my bids to see if that will increase ctr then lower bid amount once I'm in a higher position with better ctr?.

And i'm tracking keywords. I'm using conversion prophet to track with (no i didn't pay for it)

And the actual product is surprisingly good for a clickbank product. (it's not a make money scam) Got if off some torrent website before I started promoting it.

Appreciate all the help everyone

Should I increase bids or work on ctr first?

I know those types of ads do very well so assuming you tested some and stuck with the winner I wouldn't make this a priority but rather focus on increasing LP CTR and conversions.

Generally I'm guessing the higher up you are the better ctr you have

Generally yeah...but

which results in a lower cpc?

Assuming competitor A has the same QS, a lower CTR, and the same max bids you will pay less than them. This does not mean you will get a cheaper price for higher positions than what you get now for position 7.

So in that case should I just increase my bids to see if that will increase ctr then lower bid amount once I'm in a higher position with better ctr?.

No, that's not how it works. (Though it is a good technique when first starting a campaign.) Focus on increasing your lp ctr and conversion rate then increase your bids to get more traffic. Since you are making decent ROI already it's just simple math. If you can double your conversion rate you can double the amount you can spend per click.

Btw, what's with the 400 keywords?

Hope all this makes sense i'm tired.

Ok I created a completely new lp and have 2 adgroups running

I'm using the same keywords and the same ad to test which lp converts better.

I also added an exit popup which is helping get more people to the offer so far.

Today my new lp made a sale but adwords said that campaign was disapproved because the display and actual url were not the same or something and adwords is reporting 0 clicks but clickbank says I made a sale from that page today.

Anyway I fixed that issue and now have both up and running.

I have 400 keywords of things about the product name like

" is "product name a scam"

reviews on *product name*

*product name* results etc..
I have around 400 kw altogether, but that's including exact phase and regular kw. o al total my actual kw is around 190 or so.

I've been switching some thing around in my ads and so far my ctr has jumped to 4% but I had a problem with my lps and they were just going to blank screen, but I fixed that.

Anyway I'll keep yall updated on what's going on.

thanks for your help mortal I appreciate it man

alright I've been updating my campaign and so far it seems to be doing alot better. My ctr has jumped to about 4% and Since I'ce implemented my lp (Last night) I've made 3 sales totaling between $75 to $85. Hopefully this keeps up.

Oh and I started a content campaign paying $0.10 a click for a copeac offer. It's in the "Mobile" niche

Well see how that goes.
