PPV buys versus CPM buys, any difference

At least do a little research before you post stupid ass questions.

How in the fuck do you have 90 posts here and +rep?

CPM is paying for viewing your banner Ads on web pages. Usually you pay per thousand impression. Most media buy (Zedo, value click, etc) companies use this model to charge you.

PPV means viewing your Ad or even entire landing page as a pop-up or pop-under on certain machines that have adware installed on them when the owner of these machine visits certain sites or view pages that has certain keywords that you specify. MediaTraffic is a popular PPV company example.

Wish that helps,

Read the title. Any diff between CPM and PPV buys or is it just semantics?

Because sometimes there is a thing called nuance when applied to interchangeable terms or when things may have slightly different meaning depending on context.

I did research, and as far as google is concerned quite a few people use the term interchangeably but others view it in a particular context such as pop ups or pop unders. Kind of like the word "stoned", in a pre 60s context it meant drunk, but then became wholey synonymous with getting high.

So if there is a particular methodology the that differentiates a PPV buy from a CPM buy then some members of WF would be able to answer that.

But thanks for the non answer champ.

See now that's what I'm talking about, adware puts that two terms in context. Even if it's not entirely true it shows the terms aren't entirely interchangeable, going by this I would anticipate to pay more for a PPV buy as the overhead to get the adware installed, that combined with the fact that the traffic being purchased is more akin to targeting on a behavior network (more expensive) versus remnant ad banners (cheap ghetto traffic).

+rep.

these kinds of threads should be deleted to prevent others from thinking it's OK to ask such lame questions. kind of surprised a forum called "wicked fire" is so soft on NEWBIE FAGGOTS.

I take it you like getting "hard" with the faggots, or maybe you like it when the faggots get hard for you? Not surprised in the least. I'm guessing you joined "wicked fire" because it sounded like a gay disco.
