Pricing question for SEO in USA

A person is asking me to explain her a few basic SEO concepts over Skype, as a consultant. What's the price of this in the US, please? or how much would you find reasonable paying?

In that case, offer it for free. They may send some lost clients your way.

It depends. Is she asking you to teach her SEO, or is she asking you to enough about SEO to her so that she can determine whether she wants to hire you or not?
