Private Nameservers

I just upgraded from a VPS2 to a dedicated server. I have two domains on it that have private nameservers. I want to add between 10-15 more domains to the server.

Is there an advantage to private nameservers vs. using the main hosting account nameservers?

Not really, no.

If it's a vps you may even be better off using the public ones so your vps doesn't get that extra load for dns serving.
It's not much but this could make a differnece depending on the vps plan.
