For people out there that have sites that sell consumer, retail, and distribution products please read on. I will try and keep it short and to the point.
I own a manufacturing distribution company. My company sources and manufactures all types of products (phones, pens, shirts, electronics, bags, tools, notebooks). Basically if it's manufactured, we either manufacture it or can source the manufacture. I have offices in Kansas City, Hong Kong, and our production office/factory is in Shenzhen China.
REASON I AM POSTING: About 4 months back we had a product that wasn't selling thorugh our distributors. Through an associate I met a SEO guru that said he could sell off our product quickly. Well, after 2 days I couldn't believe my eyes when I received the check and every product was sold from one of his 5,000 sites. Since that day I have been hooked on learning SEO and driving traffic for retail internet sales. I figured if I could get a high volume of traffic to retail sites I could make a killing on retail sales instead of mass distribution(manufacture to consumer) . Learning the business has already cut down huge on advertisment/marketing expenses for me but I can't imaging if I could only get high visited sites.
