I have a cool idea for a forum. A "Project" forum where people can post their projects, start to finish, as much or as little as they want to share.

For example, I could start a thread:

"Harry Potter Gay Fanfic site (harrypottergayfanfic.com)"

And I could post what software I'm using, talk about my ad campaigns, etc etc. People could give feedback, offer suggestions, rip off their niches and ruin their profits, etc.

- If you want to see what someone is working on, search posts started by (name) in the project forum, and bam, all of their public projects pop up.

It would primarily be noobies I'm sure, but any experienced folks who want to take on a pet noobie can go in there and help out.

I have an even better idea. We post our projects and somebody comes along and completes them from start to finish and sends them back to us final within three days :)

I think an alternate idea might be to somehow create a system where we could figure out if we'd want to work with each other on projects. Maybe a Facebook or Yahoo group? That way, only the most trusted (read: people with several hundred posts) members could join (make it invite-only), and then within that "private" group you can post up what you need or what you're working on in a project and see if anyone else wants to partner up.

I'd be down to work with other WF members on projects, but I don't want the details of the project to be searchable by just anyone, nor would I want the details of development of my own projects indexed by the search engines.

Tha hell you say :) There are some of my projects that, while I'm not sure exactly how they'll work, I'm sure they will work. In fact, one made me a buck fifty yesterday! If I were to share the details of my projects, one of you guys ( probably a lurker ) would jump on it and I'd be relegated to the back page. Then of course there are others that I've mentioned on here before (Yoga Information for Beginners).

My main pain is finding a firehose of traffic to send at my sites; anyone have one of those lying around?

We can still work it Stanley, I think Dave's idea is very good.

how bout we list each member's specialty who wish to be invited if there's a project coming (ppc, seo, copywriting, design, coding, BH, spamming, etc) maybe plus some background of achievement and what kind of resource he/she have. Head of project can invite member who he/she think worth on the team. (i know i know some of you guys want to be remain anonymous. So for those who want to be invited on project only, ok)

Make it not easy for troll to access this info so we should create system which not everyone can access these. Only serious WF-er.

I take the risk of being flamed to death but didn't Brad Fallon try something like this with his freeiq.com?

It's like communism.. good idea in theory, not a very workable idea in real life.

The reason for this is what's to stop lurkers or non-contributing members/leeches or even regular members for that matter to use it as a tutorial and replicate the same thing, but a billion times over. Wouldn't that kill the original posting author's business model and profits?

I'm open to making new sections here if there are enough people that would be willing to take part in it and make it work. It's worked for us for the mailing section and ebook threads.

We're still waiting to do something with the adult and gaming industries, but have been hesitant because even though the mass appeal is there, we want to make sure that it won't attract the retards that the other forums out there have issues with. We also don't want to drive away some really good core members.

Listen, if one of you wants to draft up a plan for it and a marketing plan as well, you can email it to me, and I'll discuss it with the other mods and report back on what we've decided on... also, the person who comes up with the best and most in-depth project report for it will be made into the moderator for that forum they proposed.

This can be applied to ANY new section, free or paid. If you have a solid idea, instead of making a new forum, join with us and use our branding, market reach, and member loyalty just so long as you are willing to put the work into it. We'll also give you the majority stake % of the revenues (from paid sections only).

Yeah, I guess it's not that great an idea. It's too easy for the people who post details to get taken advantage of.

there is such a site to get ideas and look for new businesses to try out.

it's called elance.com or rentacoder.com.
what's cooler is that the guys will even tell you the budgets they're going to put into the thing. so you can figure out if it's worth working on...
zowie!!

andrew, right on! Nice thinking

Although I wanted to post something along the lines of "man, you can post your ENTIRE project plan and no one will get off their ass anyway", I just rmembered we actually have people here who will

- actually get off their ass
- take your project
- improve the plan
- automate it
- duplicate it times 1K
- make mad bank

- leave you sleeping under the bridge.

So, yeah, maybe not a good idea.

well the fact is that 99% of the people will never do anything about it...
just look at the ideas posted on bluehat, ruck's cashtactics or a multitude of other sites.

it's just like watching oprah (if she floats your boat), or reading a self-improvement book...

most will watch or read it and forget it all after their next nap...

which is why i can't figure out people who post their 'how do i get started' questions...

Wait wait, let's not squash this one yet.

Let me get this straight.

Noob comes in and tells everyone their great idea

I think "hey, that's a fuckin great idea" (furious scratching).

I battle it out with the other 10,000 people who already thought it was a great idea.

I find my place amongst the top 3 or 4

Noob is still waiting for a response.

Chrislingle says he's gay and should do arbi for 7000 per day

tadow?
