humans = aliens
If we had another 100k years to advance I'm sure we would be able to colonize habitable planets outside of the suns solar system.
I mean, the impossible becomes possible when you talk about that many years of technological advancement. That's a long time.
Shit, there's a new semi art house movie coming out soon... About illegal alien refugees crashing their spaceship into in some refugee camp in South Africa. 6' tall bugs or something. Can't remember the title of it. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
Oh for sure... i dont doubt that given that amount of time to advance we'd be zipping to and from Uranus in no time..... but im thinking just like the average person only lives say 80 years - Humanity also has a finite number to live its cycle, as do other lifeforms, dinosaurs etc... no matter what, nothing lasts forever... even the universe. So it's more of WHEN in time are we living right now, and is there anyone else out there right now, thats somewhat close to our level of evolution?.... If there is, :hitit_sml:
That's true, IMO i think its just a matter of can we advance fast enough to be able to escape when a giant comet comes and smashes our little planet to pieces?
Your right about the universe, unfortunately.
A hundred years ago science believed the universe was eternal, but now we have a rough date of creation.
It's expanding now, but when it bounces back and starts imploding it's going to suck getting squashed.
Indeed, but before the Universe dies, there's our Sun turning into a red giant, there's our galaxy colliding with Andromeda... So unless we figure out ways of being able to migrate to other planets, I have a feeling we're doomed.![]()
