Provigil - This shit sounds awesome

I've been looking into it as well... Anyone know a good place to get it online shipped to the states?

I'd love to try it!

Then she warned me: “There is one known side-effect.” Oh, damn I thought. A downside. “It often causes people to lose weight.” Are you mad? You become cleverer and thinner? I whipped out my Visa card immediately.

*SMELLS NEW ADCOPY*

I'd be more likely to take Provigil than 1,3 dimethylamylamine. Provigil has a lot of clinical research backing it up (while 1,3 dimethylamylamine has none).

Good point. Will check it out. I got into 1,3 due to Jack3d but am down for whatever. Germanium has been in the food supply for centuries, but nobody has been extracting crap out of it until recently.

Anyone ever party with this stuff? I will admit that I've been apt to hit a 200mg caffeine pill + 25mg 1,3 pill before going out and typically have a freaking great time. I know it's not smart, but I like having fun

What ever happened to a banana, a cold glass of water and a walk oustide for 10 mins?

That and a cup of tea, and I'm back into demented work mode.

Since I've gotten PM'd about it and others have posted links to online pharmacies before (if it's not ok, please edit it):

I've ordered it from http://qhi.co.uk since I know people that have ordered other meds from them for years and they ship from within the EU (customs are a bitch where I live). I ordered Alertec (the Canadian version) since it's a lot cheaper and supposed to work the same?

Another source that gets mentioned a lot is Bulk products - Airsealed Marketing. Modafinil powder - 10 gr (they also sell a generic med in tablet form) since they are cheap and supposed to be reputable too. But again, they also ship from EU/India. Seems like it's gotten harder for US citizens to get Modafinil online in the last couple of years.

Oh, I just now read that it's a controlled substance in the US, so it might be better to get a prescription? Depending on how easy that is.

+1 on bulk.airsealed.com, I've gotten a few things from there.

I also use alldaychemist.com for prescription-only-but-still-legal stuff.

As for illegal stuff, well... I use a few different places depending on price.

i tried to get my dr to prescribe it once. the guy looked at me like i was a loon - telling me he never heard of it. he didn't look to interested in researching it for me either, lol.

I read that article a while back and got some to try- branded Modafinil, its the same stuff.

My experience was that it made me feel nicely alert in a more elegant way than a strong coffee - not high at all as such, but did not produce a hoped for phenomenal clarity of mind or massively increased work capacity. In short i was a little disappointed.

I did wonder if my moderate response was down to a history of consuming ALOT of recreational chemicals in my younger days and whether my neural pathways dont respond as well as they used to.

Now that this thread has reminded me i still have a few tabs left in the draw i may have another shot with them.

It arrived today and I took 100 mg at 11 am and another 100 mg 30 min later.

Wasn't that sleep deprived but wanted to test it. I've been really awake all day, though not super fit like when you just had a good portion of sleep. More like when you take a lot of caffeine to stay awake. But more powerful. Also got a little more done than usual, but not much. Maybe a little effect on my focus? Definitely not much.

Now the bad stuff: It significantly raised my heart rate. 1-2 hours after taking it, my pulse went to 130 (normally at 80-90). Lasted maybe half an hour when it went to 115. Probably stayed at about that level for the next few hours. But for the last 2 hours its been up at 130 again (it's 10 pm now).

When I went upstairs fast (like always, just 1 floor) it jumped to 140-150. I'd probably collapse from my usual light biking workout right now. Not cool.

Has anyone else experienced these cardiovascular effects? Did you have any heart palpitations? I can't imagine this being approved by the FDA and equivalents if this is a common issue..

My 3 second google search brought up some dodgy looking pharma sites - I'm assuming this is script only in the UK aswell?

Have used it (modalert variety) extensively. I found it to be good, VERY effective for me at improving focus. It's what they give to long watch fast-jet pilots apparently in the RAF and USAF.

^Yes, it raised my heart rate quite considerably when using it.

It's prescription only in the UK, but can be imported without a problem.
