Might get a PS4 eventually. But my overall opinion of each consoles offerings is represented well by this.

I wonder what is going on in the Microsoft HQ right now? All of the MBA's who thought they knew how their audience thinks and what they want will probably bang their head against the wall.

Know your audience before you try being a big boy. This was a blatant fail, maybe Microsoft is clever enough to revoke all of those silly restrictions they added to the Xbox One, but chances are low that a stubborn giant who never really innovated, will be the smarter one and say "Wow, we made a mistake. Here is our new offer in favor of our customers, not the big, silly media companies."

I'm actually happy, fuck Microsoft.

Consoles are faggots now.

Get a PC - atleast there's a point to connecting to the Internet once every 24 hours [to work] on a PC.

I'll be picking up a ps4.

I loved watching this e3 clip from yesterday tho. Fuckin microsoft thinking they can change the fundamentals of console gaming and get away with it. They got owned.

I haven't owned a console since PS2 & the original Xbox. I only really bought them for the GTA series and Gran Turismo and once I was bored of those titles they sat and collected dust.

I do all my gaming on the PC.

I like how Xbox makes PS4 look like heroes for.. not changing anything in particular.

Well played, Playstation.

The only reason I own a PS3 is for MLB The Show, but I do most of my gaming on my PC and have no interest in either. Just get a PC and be done with it.

One of the best parts about PS3 is that they don't charge a monthly fee for online access like Xbox live does...Will that be the same for PS4?

They have something called PS Plus, its a $5/month subscription which is quite a bit cheaper than xbox live, takes money to pay for staff and maintain servers so its understandable.

Sony standing up to Microsoft and not caving into greedy developers wishes to change the fundamentals of console gaming so they can line their fat pockets even more is actually a really big deal and pretty damn heroic IMO.

PS4 having a price point of $399 was pretty much the nail in the coffin for XBone. This console war was over before it started. Good on ya Sony.

I just think this is a great example of awesome marketing and strategic vision with their pricing model and features.

Other than that, PC gaming for life.

Well I for one think Microsoft just slit their wrists and they went accross the street, instead of down the road. Fuck you microsoft if you think I need your permission to play a $60 game on a $500 console, and then get that permission every 24 hours. Hell even my Iphone will let me play games I have purchased when there is no internet.

So thanks microsoft. I have been an xbox only owner for 15 years. The Xbox360 will be the last xbox I will ever own. So microsoft take your Xbox One and shove it up your ass.

Sony shut up and take my monies.

One of the only negatives about PS4 seems to be that they're going the Xbox Live route and not allowing people to play online multiplayer unless they've got a PS+ account.

I think it's in the best interest of the consumers to pay for online multiplayer gaming because the infrastructure and maintenance of it is pretty damn expensive. This would also provide more cash for them to improve their network infrastructure.

Stunned by how arrogantly Microsoft is approaching this console launch.
