Hello,
I'm trying to recover data on my external hard drive... for whatever reason, it started showing "Not Initialized" and "Unallocated" from the Device Manager.
So I download GetDataBack ... and then I read that it's better to create an image of the failed HD and work from it (instead of the original).
I'm in the process of creating the image, but I don't think I have enough storage space on my pc to complete the image/copy it over. The failed HD had about 2 TB capacity, but I doubt it has that much data on it.
My question is will the image be 2 TB in size, or will it only be equal to the size of the data that is on the external HD itself? By the looks of things right now, I think it will be the full 2 TB.
