I know about link wheels but link pyramid is new to me.

Is it better than link wheel?

I read a post in this forum that a big link pyramid (several thousand links) building service is offered. It said the turn around time is only 3 days.

Is it advisable to get it done in just 3 days considering the number of links?

How offline SEO experts view the effectiveness of link pyramid?

In essence a link-wheel is a bunch of link-pyramids that somewhat inter-connected.

I have never had a problem creating 50,000 links to a website for my customers. So long as the domain is not brand new. The search engines never find all 50,000 links at once so you'll be ok if it's done in 3 days.

There is no such thing as an "offline" SEO expert :P
