I was wondering do any of you non-US affiliates have a US bank account? I don't mean a bank account in the USA, but a bank account in your country that operates in US dollars.

I live in Canada, so everytime I get my wired-payment, it gets converted into Canadian dollars and I lose a bit on the conversion since the US dollar is weaker than the Canadian dollar.

I was thinking of maybe opening a US account and deposit the money there, so I don't lose money on the conversion. But I need to use that money on traffic, so when I start buying traffic, I need to convert that money back into Canadian dollars anyways... and I don't see the US dollar going up anytime soon.

So it may seem to be troublesome to open up a US account. Just wondering what you guys are doing?

Not sure what you mean ? I earn dollars, I pay for traffic in dollars and get dollars in my USD account in Ukraine where I live.

And yeah, fees can be as high as 3% for conversion, moreover they even can take them like 2 time (back and forth), so really make USD account.

How is it possible that you REQUIRED to pay for traffic in CAD ? Pay in USD and that's it.

Read Above.

Every bank offers a USD account. Get your monies wired there to start. Big bonus if the bank allows you to transfer USD to CAD via online banking.

The thing I'm worried about is that if I put all my earnings in a USD account. The US dollar continues to drop and I'll lose even more money... since sooner or later I will need to convert those US dollars into CAD dollars, so I can spend it.

Yes, he still need to convert in the end, but at least he shouldn't do that in the process:) Make debit US visa/mastercard then

You should put all the money in gold and hide it under your bed then start making more tinfoil hats because the spy technologies are getting stronger and you're going to need more layers.

Jesus, if you don't have the balls to play with the currency trading then just convert as you go. If you do have the balls, open the bank account, but it doesn't really sound like you do.

Either way when you get paid in a different currency than the one you pay for things in, you're going to have to convert it sometime.
