If I set up a subdomain for each one of my friends with unique URL to track clicks and leads, and then paid them $20 for every friend they signed up to a site (that is paying me $200 a lead) under their subdomain,..........

Will merchants be ok with this?
Is it legal? (cant see why not)
 


If they are just grabbing Joe Bobs and Billy Boys off the street, the traffic will probably suck and the advertiser won't like it. Depends on who your advetiser is and the quality of leads they need. At $200 I'd say they may be picky and want targeted stuff.
 
But say I can find people who are actually genuinely interested/good quality. This would be ok?
 
barman, i think he wants his friends to be sub-affiliates under him. So out of the $200 he's getting, he's paying out $20 and keeping $180

If your friends are getting real leads, I don't see why the advertiser would mind. However your friends will be pissed when they see you're keeping 90% of the commission.
 
I'll cross that bridge when I get to it :P

I'll do a case study, let everyone know how it goes.
