Anyone know of a quickbooks alternative? All I ever use it for any more is to print out an occasional check (no more than 2-3 a month). Long story short I HATE quickbooks and want to get it off my computer. I have 2008 pro and it's just a huge piece of shit program. Every time I'm done using it I feel like I have to reboot. Is there anything else that provides basic check register and printing ability that will also allow me to import all my quickbooks info when I switch??

Thanks. Definitely looks like a cool lightweight program that will do the trick. Just have to figure out how to import the 2000+ checks I already have in Quickbooks... seems like it will be a bear since Quickbooks can't export in QIF format. Grrrr.
-Matt- posted about this in another thread, I forget where, but I downloaded it a few days ago but haven't checked it out. Though, from reading their website it seems quite good.

Thanks guys. Moneydance is perfect - I'm just going to have to whip up a perl script to manipulate the data I get out of quickbooks in order to be able to import it into Moneydance. Quickbooks won't export in any popular format that any of these other programs use - I guess they don't want you to switch.
