Racism in the Elevator

this one is funny and old, but his other videos are so retarded really unbearable to watch

This made its away around WF a while ago, but totally worth the rewatch.

I wonder why anyone would think a black man would be a criminal. That makes no sense!

OK, let's be honest with ourselves. Do this REALLY happen? I mean, do "dumb white bitches" REALLY tighten the grip on their purses when a well-dressed, professional looking black man walks into an elevator?

Or does it happen when some thugged-out black guy walks into an elevator? And in that case, does it also happen when some thugged-out white guy walks into an elevator?

Unless I see data on response rates - after a proper A/B/C split test for all of the above - I call bullshit! I say it's matter of presentation rather than race.

^ I assume this is just for comedic purposes. Elevators are a terrible way to "measure racism" Any time anyone comes into the elevator, I automatically move as far over as possible. It's polite (to give the person room) and a space issue (You know american's and their space) I would also move my purse over in front of me to save room. I do this automatically, but now that I think about it I wonder if this is being construed as racism by any overly sensitive person in the elevator with me.

edit: Also I can honestly say that I've never been apprehensive in an elevator. No one is comfortable, I assume the other person feels the same way, and the ride is too short to worry about anything, plus the doors will always open to a surprise (other witnesses?) so even if I would feel weird in a typical situation outside of an elevator (sketchy looking man coming near me) I just wouldn't in an elevator. I don't know, maybe I'm the wrong person to analyze this because I lived on the 23rd floor for 5 years, elevators were a daily ritual for me.
