Good crowd energy and a solid performance.

I have nothing more to add.

* Note that the intro lasts until 3:20.

Man, one of my favorites of all time. I went on a Rage tear one day. It all derived from a simple question. What ever happened to Zac De La Rocha? Put the search in Google and I was off. Ended up listening and reading about Rage half the day. I hope they reunite for another album.

This was an interesting read from Rolling Stone a couple years back: Tom Morello: Rage Against the Machine May Not Play Again | Music News | Rolling Stone

fuck you I wont do what you tell me!

Saw them when they played Lolla in '08, crazy show.

Probably up there with Tool for best concerts I've been to.

Morello is a fucking genius when it comes to how he uses his FX pedals.

like the music... don't like the band.

read some of their political views... the communist leaning shit. just seems really hypocritical... considering how much they charge people to get into their shows.

they are part of the machine.

awh fuck didn't know this about them. Oh well, I'll still listen to them for their anti-authoritarian stuff.

Completely agree.

Whenever I read comments from Morello...

From what I understand, this is one of the reasons why they quit. I read an interview where Zac talked about looking out into the crowd and seeing a bunch of frat boy establishment types and that is where it started to go downhill.

My buddy Lee has lived next door in Malibu to Zack for 10+ years. They both walk down the same trail to surf the same break that only property owners have access to. Lee sees him daily or close to it. Lee says Zack has never said one word to him, never even acknowledged Lee saying hello or even his existence. Lee is a guitar player in a rock band, long hair type, not some corporate suit d00d. Fucking strange.

RATM brings it on stage though, communist viewpoints and all.

In OP's video they are performing with a giant red communist star behind them. That's one reason why I think it's safe to say that they consider themselves to be more than "leaning", though they would probably define "communism" differently than Hellblazer.

I was fotunate enough to see these guys 3 times (evil empire, battle of la, and woodstock 99) and never left disappointed. Probably the most energetic show ive ever seen.

Communism was intended as a trick to further enslave the impoverished masses. I wonder how their attitudes would have worked against the Bolsheviks lolz.

"Fuck You I Won't Do What You Tell Me" would have gotten you a bullet to the head real quick.

Workers of the World Unite!

Rage got covered multiple times in the recent New Orleans Jazz Fest... ("killing in the name" -- zac brown band; "bulls on parade" -- (???))

Agreed.

But their bullshit has proven excellent marketing and provides lessons from which everyone can learn.

Yep. For starters, people are dumb and a consistent, recognizable and unique brand message is money. We still call them "rage" even though this thread evidences them as rich, comfortable, elitist people.
