So far, I have tried social bookmarks and directory submissions for backlinking with no real results. I get some spam comments on the wordpress sites but they aren't ranked anywhere on google. How do you guys get emd's to rank now?
 


Try some aged web 2.0s and guest posting. If you can get some decent guest posts on relevant sites you should see an increase in rankings.
 
The content I have is decent, definitely not engrish written by indians. Currently only 5 500 word articles on each site. I understand that the more content I have the better off I am. What are some more suggestions as far as link building goes and how much content per site?
 
Thanks for the advice, I'll do that. Currently I'm not making that much but is the $30/day mark when they do a manual review?

Analyze your competition. Content length, backlinks, OBL..
 
Web 2.0s with unique content and load them up with higher tier backlinks. Good as gold!

Where did you get the idea that 500 word articles were "decent"?

What's the average length of the front page results for the KWs you are targeting?
