So sitting here and jerking off in minneapolis thanks to annoying delays...

Here comes the cute part, they offered to take me to lunch. For $6 !!!!!! Wtf can I buy for $6? It feels like an extra slap in the face on top over the nice waiting for 4 hours.

Mental note never delta again. Btw their media library sucks balls

You're not waiting, you think you're waiting.

Here's my reality of flying.

Being 6'5" + coach on any airline = at least 5 hours of complete fucking misery.

The only way to properly solve that equation is to replace coach with 1st class. And I don't have enough miles for that.

Their beds are a bit small too tbh lol, BA's beds on the other hand are really good if your tall imo.

had that happen to me on my way back from JFK in sept. 2hrs delay, they just ended up changing the renovated 757 to a crappy old one (no entertainment, lol) and gave all passengers $6 for food. Arrived in europe about 1.5hrs late

Glad I had lounge access even though delta's T3 at JFK is the worst terminal I've ever been to in my life (water dropping from the ceiling, lines to get to baggage drop which is way beyond its original capacity and other shit that'd be 3rd world worthy)

Original flight from europe into JFK was awesome though (if you disregard JFK T3's disadvantages). On time, great crew & service. Never liked the 757 on translatlantic flights but these renovated delta (ex NWA) really get the job done.

Someone recently said, and maybe it was on here, that "years ago when you flew, airlines treated you like royalty. Now they all treat you like children."

Man, ain't that the truth.

Yeah coach sucks dude. You can't win, either.

-if you have an aisle seat, you have to deal with people who go to the bathroom constantly making you get up. Forget trying to catch any sleep either.

-if you're in the middle seat with a stranger beside you on both sides, you're SO FUCKED.

-if you've got a window seat, you're at least shielded from them and can nap against the window. But I personally get a nasty claustrophobic feeling when I'm "trapped" like that and can't get up without causing two fatties to get up and move.

I last flew coach several years ago, had no choice, and was trapped in the middle of two smelly people. I'll never do it again, fuck it. I'd rather be a sucker and pay a stupid amount of $ for first class for those 5 hours then deal with that crap ever again.

One thing i love about living so close to vegas is that southwest is so cheap and its a 45 min flight.

For those nights when I feel like being a baller and leaving for the weekend at the last minute.

Don't be a cheap ass/ball harder and fly first class (or at least business).

on a 45 min flight? pfft. plus southwest is the only airline that flies direct to vegas from where I live. Other major airlines stop at phoenix or some shit. I do fly business with southwest though which is just a first to board pass. Nothing more lol.

My comment was directed at the OP, not you, but yeah, coach is ok for brief flights although it has some disadvantages, like worst luggage treatment.

Also, I've never flew with an american airline, but in european airlines like British Airways or Lufthansa there is a big difference between coach and business/first class.

Example (long routes):

British Airways Business:

Not to mention the food/perks.
