Rant on Spammers - So Dumb

Why are some spammers such retards? I have some financial sites and blogs, and my contact me form is constantly getting hit with spam. Now would, I as a webmaster, be a fruitful victim. No....... Big waste of time, IMHO.

Also comment spam seems kind of dumb too. I mean, it is annoying because I have to dump my spam filter out every so often, but how much of that actually gets posted?

I guess the blog spam may be worth it if automated becase some bloggers may not have spam filtered, especially on blogs that are not reallly active...but hitting the contact me box????

Comment spam is useful if you want to get your BH sites into the SERPs quickly. The contact form spam must be annoying, add a captcha.

yeah comment spam scripts are just spamming whatever they find. at least blackhats don't discriminate.

There is a version out there that has a spam filter on it. I will have to find it but I know it exist because I have it.

Dragon Mailer has a captcha - my blog isn't exactly the most popular, but I've had no probs using that. (Cheers to Aquetias - I think - who recommended it!)
