Saw this story on the local news today and thought of you guys.

Meth does some pretty odd things, even to 49 year old rapists.

RAPE ON THE SIDEWALK: Police Say Man Raped Woman on Sidewalk in Broad Daylight - WDAF

According to police, Melvin L. Jackson, 49, allegedly had sex with the unconscious woman on a sidewalk outside of a vacant business at 3400 Troost around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

Two witnesses who flagged down a patrol car say that they saw the woman curled up in a fetal position, with Jackson on top of her with his pants and underwear around his ankles, having sex with her.

When Kansas City Missouri Police arrived on the scene, authorities say that Jackson told them, "I thought that lady was dead."

So, which do you think the Jury will be harder on... The opportune rapist that finds a woman passed out and rapes her, or one that thinks he's found a corpse and 'rapes' it.

Is it still called rape with a corpse? Ewww.

Rape is bad, but to answer your question: I really don't see how it could be called rape, if it was with a corpse. Maybe desecrating a corpse?

Lets hope their aren't any judges around that place who want to set some sort of "He's a fucked up addict, so he isn't responsible... and thought the woman was dead" kind of judgement.

Yeah, that kinda creeps me out. I've been through that neighborhood (in a car, at high speeds...) it's not the kind of place to be walking in the first place, and certianly not the kind of place to strand a friend just cause they wussed out...

If they were both so stupid as to not have brought cellphones on their walk, then she should have stepped over to the curb and flagged down someone with one.

This is just too fishy. Funny, nonetheless.

Do you guys think there is any chance that this fucker actually knew that she was alive but said that just to lessen his sentence from actual rape to corpse desecration?

He doesn't look like a smart one but if you're going to jail anyway, that may be a very smart move... I mean what other inmates will want to fuck with you when they know that after this guys kills you, he really will fuck your corpse?

You mean Necrophilia? That's a felony in some states. Unfortunately I'm not sure it's illegal at all in Missouri based on a quick Wikipedia search. Probably why you mentioned desecration :D

In my state it's a second degree misdemeanor.
