Over the past few months I've been in constant search of something to occupy my time while working. Sitting on the computer for hours on end can get boring as hell and all of my usual distractions have just been getting boring.

So yesterday I stopped by a hobby shop and bought an indoor RC helicopter. So far it's fun as hell and much better than watching t.v. or loading reddit every ten minutes.

I got the E-flite MCX S300... Anyone else fly these things? Here's a video:

Everytime I see the short infomercial for those little ones that you can fly in the house, I tell my wife that I'm getting two of them so we can have dog fights...she just gets up and walks away. Not sure what that means.

I bought 2 of them while in China last month. Don't know the model numbers, but are much nicer than the ones I have seen in hobby shops here. Plus, these you can recharge them using a usb cable.

hahaha.. I actually got two of them for my wife and me.
(really, really cheap ones)

We had a blast flying them until they fell apart.

I want to get one of these little gadgits. I want to attach a spycam of sorts with a 3km radius and fly to my friends houses to pick up a joint when im too lazy lol can you imagine that? :d

I've got one of these, though I haven't had the time to learn to fly it properly. Blade 400 3D

Yeah I'm HUGE into R/C. LOVE IT. I'll have to make a little video for you guys sometime.

I have a Blade MCX and the thing is awesome. I wish they existed when I was learning to fly, you have to actually try to break the damn thing. Good purchase.

There is always more to learn how to do with R/C helis. When you get bored of flying the thing forward, start learning to fly it backwards =)

Yea, I have 2 of these Blade400's I love them. - I also have 3 smaller (but full 3d helicopters) that I crashed and just decided to get new ones instead of rebuild.

I've been flying these and larger scale RC planes for just over a year and love it.

For my indoor, I have purchased 5 indoor helicopters and the best by FAR is the blade MCX.

The reason it is the best is because it has pitch control which allows you to learn how to hover and fly the big ones much easier.

It also has really precise control as opposed to many of the others which are more of a "It goes where it wants" type of controls.

Definitely want to try this some day.

I've been flying this thing pretty much non-stop for the past two days. I lost count after my 50th 8 minute flight. Been flying backwards, forwards, setting up obstacles to land on and fly through... It's actually getting a little boring doing the same things over and over. I'm gonna take it to an empty gymnasium tomorrow.

Try flying while piroetting. Example: While piro-ing, move the helicopter in a straight line left or right. Or forward or back. Or try moving it in a circle.
