Hey everyone. I've been doing my research for the past 2 weeks, and I'm ready to launch my first PPC campaign.

I have a small budget ($300) for this campaign, and I want to have as much knowledge as possible in order to waste as little cash as possible. I will be choosing an offer from the Monetizeit Ad Network and will use Facebook as my traffic source. I will be direct linking to the offer.

Here is what I've accomplished:

- Purchased domain/host
- Installed Prosper202 and read documentation
- Read Facebook Ads documentation
- Understand the importance of split testing
- Accepted to Monetizeit Ad Network

Here are some questions that I have:

- How many creatives (ads) should I start with?

- Should my initial creatives be 100% different from each other, or variations of the same ad?

- How long, using my budget of $300, should I let my creatives run for before I analyze and start split testing?

- How small should my target demo be? Hundreds of people? Thousands?

- Are there specific times of the day that I should run my Facebook Ads?

- What metric should I focus in on when analyzing: CTR, CPC, EPC, Impressions, etc...

I feel that I have the right kind of mindset for this business, but not necessarily the right amount of money to get started. I know I am new to this forum, and that flaming is normal, but I would sincerely appreciate any insight that you can provide.

I am still a newb but I have already dealt with the questions you are facing. Fear not, by starting this campaign you are 95% ahead from most people

1. Creative ads: Go for 50. I would test 25 images with two different ad copies. So 2 x 25. Everyone will give you a different answer. The thing I have discovered is that I do not yet possess a good eye of what should work or not, so I try to overcome that with volume.

2. See above

3. Budget wise, I recommend you set a daily limit of $25. Let it run for a couple of days. Then start split testing.

Here is a hint, once you find a campaign that is converting for your split tests create another mini campaign. You don't want to be split testing on a $1,000 budget.

4. Demo size does not matter but targeting does. You don't want to just display your ads, you want them clicked and converted. So think about the type of person you are trying to sell to. Obviously you don't want to only have a 100 person demographic

5. Metrics...well I was confused about it as well...to the point I made a post about it. Read people's thoughts here: http://www.wickedfire.com/affiliate-marketing/105703-testing-campaigns-stats-matter.html

In terms of having a budget...it is what it is dude. You got to start from somewhere. Personally I can spend $500 a month on testing...until I make profit.

If you check out my journal (its in the newbie section) you will see what I do. I spend $25 a day, which means I can test a campaign for 20 days. That way you can also split test a lot if things look good. Again I am not perfect and I still have not made profit, but each campaign I launch is doing better.

Awesome response. Thanks for your insight.

Anyone else have anything that might help?

I'm slowly starting to realize that boobs are the currency of choice on WF, so here ya go:
