I've been doing some testing/experimenting on buying likes and running ads for some of my own sites. I remembered this topic and thought I would share. I like to think I'm pretty good at adding likes just from engaging, cross-promoting from different platforms (like tweeting to facebook, buttons on site/blog), and so on. But it's (often unpredictably) slow, and some niches are really fucking hard.
I have yet to find a "Buy Real Likes" thing that isn't 100% shit. "Real" tends to be almost equivalent to obvious fakes, and you pay a premium.
On the other hand, on my test sites I am paying between $0.04 and $0.56 per REAL-REAL like from running facebook ads, with several under 10 cents per like.
So if I could buy a bunch of "real likes" from a service that charges, let's say 5 bucks, I'd have to receive at least 125 REAL likes to beat running a facebook ads "likes" campaign. That's not happening. And even on my hardest site, I don't think I could come close to that on "real active" purchased likes.
