I made an arbitrage site on a niche that has a lot of traffic and that on Adwords Tools -> traffic estimator it said the average click would be $1.30. However, i've run it for two days and my average click is $0.09. I know what the tools says is unlikely to be exactly correct, but that is a pretty large difference. Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. On overture there were many bids of 1-2 dollars and on google adwords there were likke 10 bidders in the 2-5 dollar range, but average income per click from adsense is only like 15 cents for me

Well keep in mind that the estimated bids that you see advertisers are spending for that keyword is about twice as what YOU will paid if someone clicks your adsense ad for that keyword.

Example; The advertiser Rats-R-Us pays Google $2.30 CPC for the keyword "horny rats" in their adwords ad. You set up an arbi site based around "horny rats" and display adsense ads related to it. The ads from Rats-R-Us show up, and visitors click on it. Now... you will NOT get $2.30 from that click, but more like 20-50% of that amount. Remember that Google also gets their share of that click, and although they have never stated officially what their percentage is, it is assumed to be at least 50%.

What also can lower the amount further is smartpricing and other factors affecting the current cpc.

And the price google lists is on their search network, while you are part of the content network.

Yeah I heard that too. It sux that you can't view content network CPC.
and scrabbler, yeah I need to experience how CPC/CTR is affected by removing one or more ad units, but I'm still working on getting enough volume to test it properly.
