I'm running into more and more stuff that requires PC and using VmWare is becoming more and more annoying. I currently own a 13' inch MacBook Pro and I'm looking for a good laptop in the $1000-$2000 price range. Anyone wanna recommend a solid PC? I'm looking into performance and sturdiness/stability, something on the level of a Mac's craftsmanship.

Sony Vaio, not quite sure why this is in the Affiliate Marketing though?

+1 on the ThinkPad.

Assuming you don't game, ThinkPad is the way to go. Ugliest, and sturdiest, notebook you'll ever use.

What is wrong with people. He clearly says he already has a Mac and is looking for a PC.

Regarding a PC I have had nothing but good experiences with Asus laptops. They look good and flat out work.

Don't use VmWare. Use Parallels. It creates a windows partition so you boot up in just windows and are not running both OSX and Windows at the same time. Or you can just upgrade to an i7 MBP

Sell your 13" on craigslist or ebay and upgrade to a 17" mbp and do whats said above

It really depends on the use you want to give to ur LT, if you are not messing with gaming or high level graphic features then go for the Sony Vaio or Thinkpad
