Hello,

I am setting up a affiliate program for a site where hosting affiliate tracker software is not an option. Can any one recommend a company with a robust tracker for a small to medium size affiliate program?

I had some one recommend the Kurtlin Group. Has any one had any experience with them?

My apologies,

I've been searching the web looking for a affiliate tracker and and wading through a mountains of shit and thought that I had finally reached a place where people had legitimate experience and advice. I assure you my intentions are sincere.

Never heard of them - Kurtlin Group. I have always used Direct Track. Pricey but great system with good support. If anyone has anythinig else I would like to hear it as well.

why not just go with a 3rd party affiliate network and use their software. Neverblue & Hydra both have pretty decent interfaces.

I've seen a lot of third party affiliate networks who want to manage your account and find you affiliates. Do you think that that they would be willing to just allow us to use there interface and do our own management?

Why don't you just get Post Affiliate Pro or iDev? Load it on a cheap .info domain and be done with this search?

You know, if it were up to me I would. But, somehow I have this feeling the development teams not going to like the idea. I could be wrong. Its worth a shot.

So far I've narrowed it down to DirectTrack and the the Kurtlin Group. They both seem to be pretty good. $200 a month hosting fee. The only difference is that DirectTrack has $2000 set up fee. Aside from the $2000 its been difficult to get some one on the phone at DirectTrack to make the sale.

I think I might go with this Kurtlin company. They seem like a small outfit but the supports been great and they are responsive which I feel like is a big deal. I need to look at the admin features closer but they dont seem too different out of the box. If its a total shit show you'll definitely hear about it.

The fact that it has been difficult for you to get DT on the phone for an eventual sale may speak volumes for how they will treat you when you need support. Sounds a bit expensive given the fact that they are also charging more.

We left Direct Track for Hitpath because of lack of service and unreliability. I have no idea how Hitpath's pricing looks for smaller affiliate programs, but I highly recommend them.

As a 3rd party affiliate network, I would only recommend using ours or someone elses network if you need help finding affiliates. If you are just looking to software or ASP solution, then we aren't worth the additional expense.

I had the Kurtlin Group send over a demo of their software and they are using Idev. I am starting to wonder if LotsofZeros is right. Maybe it would be easier to just buy the software and host it on a different server then our current production data. Our site runs on Ruby on Rails so we can't run PHP based software. I'm going to look into it some more and report back.
