Hey all,

I'm starting a new niche site and am going to begin collecting email addresses for the first time in years.

I'm aware of Getresponse, Aweber, Constant Contact.

Any advice on which to go with as a newbie?

Looking across those 3 sites their pricing plans seem to overlap somewhat and I'm unsure which to go with. Anyone know any available coupons or discounts for a new starter?

Thank you :)

GetReponse is free for the first 100 subscribers up to 3 months. Once you hit 100 subscribers the rest are put in queue until you pay for a plan. I'm going to start a journal soon, and I'll be using that.

Oh is it? It doesn't seem to mention that on their pricing page. Cheers for the heads up there.

Ah nice, thanks dude. Whilst googling there I noticed somebody on Warrior Forum recommending MailChimp, it's free up to 2000 subscribers or 12,000 emails a month. You can add paid options thought.

I just signed up and designed a list and form. It's pretty nice.

Strike that I went a bit deeper into the forums and many people are reporting losing their lists to Mailchimp when they decided they didn't like them promoting affiliate offers.

I'll go with your GetResponse recommendation.

Hi FlipFLOp,

I recommend Icontact. Easy to use and they have nice little extras like app for Iphone which I don't think the others have.

But the big 3 are Aweber, Get Response and Icontact. I would go with anyone of these...

I started out using GetResponse and found it difficult to use, so I switched to AWeber and have been using them for several years. To me it's much easier to use, and I would recommend it.

Agree with you on the Getresponse being a bit difficult. Seems overly complicated and the form creator is very annoying, it jumps around and makes you click several times. Going to try aweber too.

Thanks for all the input people.

Actually icontact is new to me so thanks for mentioning that, I notice they have a free 30 day trial so I'll give that a go before aweber, I assume I can export my list over to aweber in a month if I want to.
