Recurring Commissions

If someone clicks through your affiliate hoplink, and doesn't buy anything you don't make a commission, but what if they go back to that same website later through a different route? Could you still get your commission?

In another similar situation, if someone did buy something through your hoplink, and then ended up buying something from the same website at a later date. Could you still get a commission from every sale to that customer after their initial buy?

every program is different when it comes to that kind of thing...it's something you need to check into before you start promoting.

Many programs show the cookie length. They may say something like 45 day cookie. So if the customer comes back to the site and purchases something within those 45 days you're credited.

I'm not 100% sure how it works but I think it's something like this:
Someone goes through your aff link for blueboxes.com and then, at a later date, ends up at the official site of blueboxes.com makes a purchase, then you are credited.

Anyone else know?

This is correct, some even have up to 60 day cookies, your talking about a hoplink which mean CLICKBANK, which means you probably won't get any credit if they return, plus your promoting eBooks.

Ok so the only thing left out above is if someone goes to your site clicks on your affiliate link, then at a later time is on another site and clicks on a different affiliate link, you won't be credited, but if they click on your link and at a later time return to the main website (Example: blueboxes.com), then you'll be credited.
