I have an alcoholic resource site that I've been monetizing with adsense and text-links since I started it early in the year.

However, clicks have been coming cheaper and cheaper the last month so I'm looking for affiliate products I can push. Anyone have any ideas? I've previously tried drug and alcohol testing kits and headache pills but they don't even get clicked.
 


Was just browsing offers at copeac when I read your post.

A few things that come to mind are:

Car Insurance
Pre-paid Legal
Debt Consolidation
Stop Foreclosure
Weight Loss (get back that self-esteem)
Stop Smoking (may as well kill two birds)
Dating
Starbucks (still have to consume SOME type of liquid)
Flowers (to make up or in case the dating takes off)

Maybe try to sprinkle "addiction" or something else on the pages along with some Adsense ad section targeting. I know addiction related ads are paying decent.

... but I know "alcohol treatment" pays well also. Hmm... maybe advertisers are excluding your site from their content network ads. Is it a high-quality site? (no offense intended)

The reason I mention re-targeting adsense is because I have not found a decent affiliate for addiction. I tried some self-help shit that didn't get any clicks.

Please let me know if you find a good affiliate product.

None taken. It's not a scraper or feeds site, most of the content is original, some are rewritten scrapes but all hand-made.

It's possible it's being excluded, though I still get the occasional $1.50 click. It's just harder to come by the last month or so and I've been curious to see what kind of offers can convert for a niche like that.

I'll probably test some of that. I can't do any large scale tests though since the traffic level can't support that's why I'm trying to find niches that are an exact fit for most of my visitors.
 
Have you tried amazon associates for any books that you might be able to sell which is related to your niche?
 
i'm with Springer on the 'stop smoking' links...a lot of addicts have to stop everything including caffeine when they quit drinking...too many triggers

i'd just browse through a couple networks and see what they have to offer that would be best suited for you.
 
How about some sort of lead generation for people looking for a rehab center? Might be able to find some places willing to pay some $$ per lead...
