Removing Date from WP Posts Meta Data

Anyone know how the hell to do this? I've looked everywhere and everyone seems to have custom fixes for various themes--nothing that actually works across all themes.

Basically where the meta description shows up as: "May 28, 2009...Learn how to blah blah blah etc etc etc." I'm trying to remove the date in the SERPs.

The date isn't physically in the meta data and I have an SEO plugin configured for the appropriate meta description but it still shows up, any ideas on how to fix this for good and do it across all my sites?

P.S. Sorry I'm posting this in aff. marketing forum, please move if needed mods.

You'll probably need to change it in each theme as they use different php tags etc

In the editor? Problem is I keep getting conflicting info about this shit so I'm not sure if that'd work completely, I've removed dates from the posts but I think they're still staying in the meta desc.

Think I fixed it actually--problem may have been in my case I have a theme that has several "layouts" you can choose from. Mods you can delete/close this thread, thanks.
