Hey, so I finished my program that gathers RSS feed titles, generates XML 1.0 and RSS .91 output, uploads the files to your server and resubmits them to the top 4 sites you want to ping. Each action takes only a click of a button. Some of the functions to modify the title database can take awhile if you're dealing with 100k+ titles. I'm running a 3 ghz Pentium 4 with 512 mb of ram tho :P

Post here if you're going to buy, please don't PM me I don't wanna piss Jon or anyone else off.

So, you wrote the program, correct? Assuming that's true, there's no problem with you selling it here. If not and it's pirated, then there's a problem.

Too bad I'm a broke SOB. I'd like to try it. :(

Last, are you selling this anywhere else? Good luck with your sale!

Yeah, I wrote it myself :D Been working on it for a week or two, gave me some headaches here and there but overall it wasn't too bad. I 'd be willing to lower the price, and I'd like some suggestions on what you guys think a good price would be? I could also use suggestions on other software I could make for webmasters.

I dunno if I'm even gonna post anywhere else, people on other forums seem to stupid to even use something like this. I wanna test things out with the WF croud before I go anywhere else ;)

Something to consider....

You might be smart to give to one of the mods to test ( i.e. SeoMike ). Make a deal that if it works as promised that he'll give you a testamonial/review on the product. He's a well trusted source around these parts if it'll work for him then it should work for everyone.

Just a consideration, sounds like cheap marketing to me :D

^^ Sure, I'd be up for it. PM me Mike if you're interested, just send me your MSN and I'll set you up an auth and download :)

Looking forward to the results, never seen a windows based tool for "blackhole seo" backlink generation...definately interested in buying, less work for my poor servers :D

Giving away pirated programs for free seems to be allowed (see the ebook thread..) but selling it is not..

It would be better if any and all sharing of pirated programs would be disallowed. We all know that most of these programs provide good value (hence why everyone is asking for them) as opposed to ebooks.

But I must say, I thought the ebooks thread was first made to expose the ebooks, now all I see is requests for ebooks here and there.. Seems like these people really read them..

Yes, it's not automated though. Well, I mean all you do is click 4 buttons, but it doesn't have any timers or anything to automatically do everything at a set time. I wanted to make the program so you could quickly manage the titles and delete any ones that might lower your "trust rank" with google. As an example I downloaded a small feed of titles (~12k) and after doing some filtering I'm down to 4.7k. So like 65% of the titles are adult crap you don't want in the first place.

I cant believe how many of you are paying for this technique....
A) its saturated to hell by now
and
B) There are like 10 other great free scripts that perform this technique
Fuck you, gtfo of my thread douche. This isn't a script first of all, and the "free" scripts don't allow you to filter the titles. Did you even look at it or did you wanna just come in here and make me look like an asshole?

Wow, that script is nice. I'm dling now. I was saying people who even know about this technique know there are free versions available, like the ruby on rails on that was posted here. I made a win32 version of it, that's my "special thing" that makes my program different from the others. I just didn't see a reason for you to come into my thread basically tell me my program is worthless when people already know about the free scripts available...

Esrun's back!! Rock on! He has tons of good shit.

Anyhow, back on topic. I'm testing RuDeDoGg's program now, and so far I like it...but, there are some things that need polishing before I would say it's ready for open distribution. I'm going to make a list and forward it to him before giving my final report. I am happy to say that it is fairly simple to use, and will require the average user less than 10 minutes to figure out, even without documentation ;)

Esrun's script is very cool also, been playing around with it a bit tonight. Kept getting "XML not well formed..." errors. Apparently there was not the required white space after something. So...if you use his script, find the "generate.php" file and change the following lines:
PHP:
//Generate todays date
$dateuse = date("D, j F Y G:i:s O");
$xml = trim("<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>
<!-- generator=\"wordpress/2.1.3\" -->
<rss version=\"2.0\"
xmlns:content=\"http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/\"
xmlns:wfw=\"http://wellformedweb.org/CommentAPI/\"
xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\">

Just add some line breaks \n and all is well:
PHP:
//Generate todays date
$dateuse = date("D, j F Y G:i:s O");
$xml = trim("<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>
<!-- generator=\"wordpress/2.1.3\" -->
<rss version=\"2.0\"
xmlns:content=\"http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/\"\n
xmlns:wfw=\"http://wellformedweb.org/CommentAPI/\"\n
xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\"\n>

Why not give away a free download/free tiral because 150 is a lot of a program that isn't proven to work? Just a suggestion.

esrun's link isn't working for me. is his site down? it's redirecting to the Birmingham Royal Ballet lol!

btw, does rudedog's app come with source? what language is it in?

No it doesn't include source, and it was written with Delphi 7. The program right now is perfect for downloading the titles, deleting titles with adult phrases, etc and generating the rss feeds for you to upload. The upload function works great if you're doing under 10 files, above that I dunno :| And I honestly don't really trust the ping, it should work but I'm only getting 1-2 hits on each feed in the following day(so it looks like it's not pinging them all properly, in theory it should be?).

I'll sell the program as is, and if enough people seem interested I'll fix everything. The price for it as-is is $50, send to my paypal: TechnoBound@TechnoBound.Com. Include a contact email address where I can send you you're auth user/pass. I'll send it from my person email,

I'm being totally honest and telling you the features I have my doubts about. I tried to upload 40+ feeds that were each 3-4mb and it gave me an error(?). I dunno if it was just that one time or if it's a general problem, I need Mikes report :). The ping may very well be working perfect, I put the response page in a memo and they all returned success, but that was for 1 ping. Maybe they only allow one ping per "base url" per day. I dunno

^^^

I should have it to you in a day or two. I'm trying to figure out if my issues are along the lines of PEBCAC or the software. I'm leaning towards PEBCAC right now.

Although there are a couple small suggestions that I do have that I think could make it more user friendly / helpful / whatever. :D

For those of you that have never done tech support: PEBCAC = Problem Exists Between Computer And Chair.
