What are some good books for learning how to be a better sales person. After reading soupy's thread I realized I have no real skills in selling and would like to learn some more on it. Not sure where the best place to start for books though.

I'd like to be able to be confident that I could close sales like the way that soupy is, he knows he has the sale before the sale happens. I'm always guessing until the paper work is completed.

Didn't he recommend some in that thread?

I'm all about attending seminars and listening to audios. Books are for people with time to sit and twiddle their thumbs....

If you're new to selling Zig Ziglar is a must, if you're not Christian... You've been warned he references his faith often.

For the record, I'm looking for a partner in SoFla to help me build out my office while I make it rain.

How to Master the Art of Selling by Tom Hopkins is the ultimate sales Bible

Any books or training by Jeffrey Gitomer, the Little Red Book of Sales being the best for pure sales knowledge (also subscribe to Sales Caffeine, his e-newsletter)

I also recommend Zig Ziglar wholeheartedly.
